Here are some terms you need to know:
- Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) are made when we draw the patient’s blood and spin it in a centrifuge to separate the plasma or fibrin from the blood products. That plasma is then re-injected back into the specific treatment area to achieve a desired result.
- Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF) is a growth factor naturally found in the body and released by platelets. It signals cells in the treatment area to start repair, create new collagen, and promote tissue regeneration. With PDGF there is no blood draw required, and it has much more regenerative power than PRP or PRF.

A series of four treatments is recommended for first year, then 1 treatment every 6-12 months to maintain.

If your under eyes are looking dark, tired or hollow then multiple modalities can be used to improve them. We often use a combination of microneedling, laser, wrinkle relaxers, filler, PDGF/PRP/PRF to improve the under eyes, or we can refer you out for surgery if indicated.
Plan to receive multiple treatments under the eyes, and most will also need cheek support as well

PDGF/PRP/PRF Therapy FAQ's
Numbing cream will be applied to help with pain control. Your Boostology injector will communicate with you through the procedure to ensure you are comfortable. Afterwards it is normal to feel tenderness for a few days.
Bruising and swelling are always possible, especially under the eyes. They can last up to 2-3 weeks. The treated area will likely be tender or sore as it is healing.
Every person is different. We recommend treatments every 6-8 weeks until you reach the desired result, then do 1 treatment every 6-12 months for maintenance.
